The mixing process includes detailed equalization to ensure vocal clarity and separation between elements, appropriate compression to maintain consistent dynamics, noise reduction to eliminate unwanted sounds, and precise level adjustments to preserve a balanced audio experience throughout the film. Each element is carefully placed and processed in close connection with the rhythm of the narrative and the picture edit. The mix is delivered in stereo, but can be adapted to other formats upon request.

The client must provide all audio tracks separately, preferably unprocessed, in WAV or AIFF format, along with the locked picture in .MOV or .MP4 format, to ensure precise synchronization of the mix with the video. The final file is delivered synced to the picture and constitutes a version ready for the mastering stage, whether for theatrical release, television broadcast, or platform distribution.

    To ensure a professional-quality mix, please make sure that:

    • The audio files are free of distortion or unwanted clipping.
    • No effects (equalization, compression, reverb, etc.) are applied to the tracks, unless they are intentionally creative and meant to be kept in the final mix.
    • The tracks are properly synchronized to avoid any timing issues.
    • File names are clear and well-organized (e.g., "Rhythm_Guitar_L.wav", "Lead_Vocal.wav").
    • Unused or alternative tracks are clearly labeled or placed in a separate folder.
    • The files are provided in high-quality audio formats (WAV or AIFF, 24-bit/44.1 kHz minimum).
